Dear members,

 

Since November last year we have been endeavouring to keep you updated with all the Albanese Labor Government IR changes.

 

You may remember two pieces of legislation introduced and passed into law have significantly altered the responsibility and liability of employers regarding respectful conduct in workplaces, including sexual harassment and sexual discrimination in the workplace. 

 

The first piece of legislation, was the Anti-Discrimination and Human Rights Legislation Amendment (Respect at Work) Act 2022; the second piece of legislation, the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Act 2022.
