Management Forum and AGM – Tuesday 27 September 2011

THANK YOU!

The 2011 Management Forum and AGM was held at the Woodlands Golf Club on Tuesday 27 September.

A fantastic turn out of over 90 members took advantage of the opportunity to have an audience with senior figures from government. Most notable were Ian Dobbs - CEO of the new Public Transport Development Authority, Norman Gray AM – COO of Franchise Relationships DOT and Alan Osborne – CEO of Transport Safety Victoria.

They presented the strategic direction of each of their respective agencies and in which the importance of inter modal connectivity, measuring performance against agreed customer related outcomes and the building of trust between stakeholders were stressed as being critical to achieving successful outcomes for all.

Following this the members benefited from practical presentations on industrial relations and business succession planning.

Feedback following the event suggests that this day remains a critical forum for bus industry peers to gain a great insight into critical current elements of the industry giving them an opportunity use the information and tools delivered on the day to assist and improve their own strategic and operational business planning. The unique opportunity to take time out from the normally hectic daily operation to consider this strategic planning with industry peers is also one of the fantastic benefits f the day.

BusVic encourage you to attend the 2012 event which will be held on Tuesday 25th of September at Woodlands GC.
